New chairman appointed for OCTLIGHT to strength commercial introduction of its first products

Finn Halken has been appointed Chairman of the Board of OCTLIGHT ApS. This further strengthens the commercial introduction of OCTLIGHT’s products to the Ophthalmology market.

As part of the Board of Directors, he brings key expertise in scaling manufacturing and global sales from his previous role as Group CEO/owner at Informationsteknik Scandinavia and CEO at Danish Interpretation Systems, which was acquired by Shure in 2011. Finn Halken will work closely together with CEO Thor Ansbæk in building  OCTLIGHT to meet the needs of system integrators in industries with high quality requirements, such as the ophthalmic device industry.

Finn Halken succeeds Bent Bischoff, who has had a pivotal role in the spin-out of OCTLIGHT’s core technology from The Technical University of Denmark. OCTLIGHT is grateful for his professional role in developing OCTLIGHT to its current state, with funding secured and OCT Swept Source ready for market introduction.
